> <br /> payments with respect to principal of and interest on such Bond and all notices with respect to <br /> such Bond shall be made and given, respectively, in the manner provided in the Representation <br /> Letter. <br /> In the event that the Bonds ever become generally registrable, as aforesaid, the City <br /> Treasurer may, in his or her discretion at such time, designate a bank with trust powers or trust <br /> company, duly authorized to do business as a bond registrar, paying agent, or both, to act in one <br /> or both such capacities hereunder, in the event that the City Treasurer shall determine it to be <br /> advisable. Notice shall be given to the registered owners of any such designation in the same <br /> manner, as near as may be practicable, as for a notice of redemption of Bonds, and as if the date <br /> of such successor taking up its duties were the redemption date. <br /> (b) Registration. The City shall cause the Bond Register to be kept at the principal <br /> office maintained for the purpose by the Bond Registrar in Chicago, Illinois, which is hereby I <br /> constituted and appointed the registrar of the City for the Bonds. The City is authorized to � <br /> prepare, and the Bond Registrar or such other agent as the City may designate shall keep custody <br /> of, multiple Bond blanks executed by the City for use in the transfer and exchange of Bonds. <br /> Any Bond may be transferred or exchanged, but only in the manner, subject to the <br /> limitations, and upon payment of the charges as set forth in this Ordinance. Upon surrender for <br /> transfer or exchange of any Bond at the principal office of the Bond Registrar, duly endorsed by <br /> or accompanied by a written instrument or instruments of transfer or exchange in form <br /> satisfactory to the Bond Registrar and duly executed by the registered owner or an attorney for <br /> such owner duly authorized in writing, the City shall execute and the Bond Registrar shall <br /> authenticate, date and deliver in the name of the transferee or transferees or, in the case of an <br /> exchange, the registered owner, a new fully registered Bond or Bonds of like tenor, of the same <br /> -16- <br />
