ARTICLE 24
HEALTH AND PHYSICAL FITNESS
The parties agree that safe performance of the duties of a member of the classified fire
service requires high levels of physical fitness and mental alertness. Accordingly, the parties
agree to strive to better wellness and fitness training for Fire Department personnel.
ARTICLE 25
DRUG TESTING
Section 1. The use of illegal drugs and the abuse of legal drugs and alcohol by
members of the Fire Department present unacceptable risks to the safety and well-being of
other employees and the public, invite accidents and injuries, and reduce productivity.
