Brown's Addition to the City of Decatur, as per Plat recorded in Book 149, Page 76 of the records in the Recorder's Office, Macon County, Illinois. Situated in Macon County, Illinois. Said alley containing 4,575 S.F. more or less; and, ' WHEREAS, said alleyway is no longer useful to the public ar to the City or to the owner of the property abutting thereon as right-of-way; and, WHEREAS, the public interest will be subserved by vacating said alleyway and the public will be relieved from the further burden and responsibility of maintaining the same. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That the above described alleyway be, and the sa e is hereby, vacated as public alleyway inasmuch as the same is no longer required for public use and the public interest will be subserved by such vacation, said righi-of-way being shown on the plat thereof hereto attached and hereby made a part hereof. Section 2. That the benef ts which will be accrued to the owners of abutting property by reason of the vacation aforesaid is determined to be, in the judgment of the Council, equal to the sum of Four Thousand Dollars ($4,000.00).
