The installation of a handicapped parking space in front of 252 West Main Street. <br /> 2. The installation of a handicapped parking space in front of 759 �VVest Macon Street. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> The Traffic and Parking Commission on August 12, 2008, voted to r�commend the installation <br /> of a handicap space on the street in front of 252 West Main Street which was requested by Mr. <br /> Thomas Smith owner of Smith Hearing Aids. Mr. Smith indicated that many of his customers <br /> are handicapped and elderly and on occasion there is a high parking de and on the street in front <br /> of his business. Discussions were held with the neighboring business �d they have no concerns <br /> with placing a handicapped parking space in front of 252 West Main Street.
