i <br /> 1. All existing non-conforming electronic message unit signs installed <br /> prior to this Ordinance No. 2008-[Number to be Assigned], shall conform to the <br /> display regulations within Subsections 9.d., 9.e., 9.f., 9.g., 9.h., 9.i., 9.j., and 9.k. <br /> within one (1) year of the date of the approved Ordinance Amendment. <br /> Section 3. That Section XXV.F.9. of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Decatur (Ord. <br /> No. 3512 as amended by Ord. No. 2002-33) be, and the same is hereby, amended so that as so <br /> amended said Section XXV.F.9. shall provide as follows: <br /> F. SIGNS IN BUSINESS AND INDUSTRIAL DISTRICTS <br /> 9. Off-Premise Signs. <br /> An off-premise (billboard) sign shall be permitted in the B-2, B-3, M-1, and M-2 <br /> zoning districts. For the purposes of the Ordinance, an off-premise sign is considered to <br /> be an accessory use. <br /> a. No off-premise sign shall exceed three-hundred (300) square feet <br /> in area including border and trim but excluding ornamental base or apron, <br /> supports and other structural members. Back to back displays erected at no <br /> greater than a thirty (30) degree angle to each other shall be permitted and deemed <br /> to be a single sign. <br /> b. In the case of an off-premise sign that is located on a one-way street, <br /> two (2) sign faces of three-hundred (300) square feet in area each may be <br /> displayed facing the one-way traffic, provided that such faces are arranged in a <br /> vertical manner and advertising on the reverse side shall be prohibited. The <br /> reverse side shall be painted and maintained. An off-premise electronic message <br /> unit sign located on a one-way street shall only have one (1) face of up to three- , <br /> hundred (300) square feet in area facing the flow of traffic and advertising on the �� <br /> reverse side shall be prohibited. The reverse side shall be painted and <br /> maintained. <br /> c. No off-premise sign shall be located closer than seven-hundred and fifty <br /> (750) feet from any other off-premise sign located on either side of the street or <br /> highway. <br /> d. An off-premise sign shall be set back a minimum of fifty (50) feet <br /> from any rear or side lot line of a residentially-zoned district. An off-premise <br /> electronic message unit sign shall be set back a minimum of one- hundred (100) <br />
