Stickle, Senior Planner �;VL� <br /> Jeanelle Keck, Special Projects Planner�' <br /> SUBJECT: Annexation of the premises commonly known as 3306 West Marietta Street. <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: Staff is of the opinion that the proposed annexation would <br /> produce a logical extension of the corporate limits; staff recommends approval of the petition as <br /> presented. <br /> BACKGROUND: A valid petition seeking voluntary annexation of the subject premises has been filed <br /> with the City Clerk's Office. Containing approximately 1.003 acres, a single family dwelling is currently <br /> being constructed on the property. The properties to the west and south are zoned R-1, Single Family <br /> Residence District; properties to the north and east are in the County. When annexed, the area will come <br /> into the city as R-1, Single Family Residence District. The following information is relevant to the area <br /> in question: <br /> 1. The parcel contains a single-family residence (in construction). <br /> 2. City water is available at Marietta Street. <br /> 3. Sanitary sewer is not available. <br /> 4. The average fire response time from the Decatur Fire Department is six and five-tenths (6.5) <br /> minutes. <br /> 5. Marietta Street is seal treated and maintained by the City. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTION: NONE <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: The annexation plat has been reviewed and approved by <br /> Municipal Services, Water Distribution, Engineering and Infrastructure, Fire, the Macon County Health <br /> Department and the Decatur Sanitary District. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Any additional questions may be forwarded to Jeanelle Keck at 424-2725 or at <br /> j keck@decaturil.gov. <br /> BUDGET/TIME IMPLICATIONS: NONE <br />
