Stickle, Senior Planner�JS i Jeanelle Keck, Special Projects Planner� � SUBJECT: Annexation of the lot to the east of the premises commonly known as 1131 North Sunnyside Road. SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: Staff is of the opinion that the proposed annexation would produce a logical extension of the corporate limits; staff recommends approval of the petition as presented. BACKGROUND: A valid petition seeking voluntary annexation of the subject premises has been filed with the City Clerk's Office. Containing approximately 0.98 acres, the property is currently undeveloped. The properties to the north, south, and east are zoned R-1, Single Family Residence District; the property to the west is in the County. When annexed, the area will come into the city as R-1, Single Family Residence District. The following information is relevant to the area in question: 1. The lot is currently vacant. 2. City water is available at Sunnyside Road. 3. Sanitary sewer is not available. 4. The average fire response time from the Decatur Fire Department is seven and five-tenths (7.5) minutes. 5. Sunnyside Road is concrete and maintained by the City. POTENTIAL OBJECTION: NONE INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: The annexation plat has been reviewed and approved by Municipal Services, Water Distribution, Engineering and Infrastructure, Fire, the Macon County Health Department and the Decatur Sanitary District. BUDGET/TIME IMPLICATIONS: Additional annual revenue of approximately $26.53 would become available from the real estate taxes.
