Stickle, Senior Planner,�� <br /> Jeanelle Keck, Special Projects Planner�' <br /> SUBJECT: Annexation of the premises commonly known as the vacant ot south of 417 West Grove <br /> Road. <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: Staff is of the opinion that the proposed annexation would <br /> produce a logical extension of the corporate limits; staff recommends approval of the petition as <br /> presented. <br /> BACKGROUND: A valid petition seeking voluntary annexation of the subject premises has been filed <br /> with the City Clerk's Office. Containing approximately 4.83 acres, the property is currently undeveloped. <br /> The properties to the north and south are zoned R-1, Single Family Residence District; properties to the <br /> east and west are in the County. When annexed, the area will come into t e city as R-1, Single Family <br /> Residence District. The following information is relevant to the area in ques ion: <br /> 1. The parcel is currently vacant. <br /> 2. City water is available. <br /> 3. Sanitary sewer is not available. <br /> 4. The average fire response time from the Decatur Fire Department is even (7)minutes. <br /> 5. Devonshire Road is unimproved and maintained by the South Wheat and Township. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTION: NONE <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: The annexation plat has been reviewed and approved by <br /> Municipal Services, Water Distribution, Engineering and Infrastructure, Fire, the Macon County Health <br /> Department and the Decatur Sanitary District. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Any additional questions may be forwarded to Jea' elle Keck at 424-2725 or at <br /> jkeck@decaturil.gov. <br /> BUDGET/TIME IMPLICATIONS: Additional annual revenue of ap roximately $712.87 would <br /> become available from the combined total real estate ($379.73) motar fuel ($139.44) and state income <br /> taxes ($193.70). <br />
