� � ORDINANCE NO. 2008-31 III ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING CONSUMPTI N OF ' ALCOHOLIC LIQUOR IN CENTRAL PARK AND ON PUB IC RIGHT-OF-WAY DOWNTOWN DECATUR COUNCIL WHEREAS, the Downtown Decatur Council has plan ed its annual "Cruisin' Downtown" event scheduled for Thursday, July 10, 2008; and, WHEREAS, it is the intention of the Downtown Decatur Cou cil to offer beer and wine for sale to its patrons for consumption at this event; and, WHEREAS, such consumption of alcoholic liquor in Central P rk and on public right-of- way requires the express approval of the City Council; and, WHEREAS, the Council finds that it would be in the best interest of the Downtown Decatur Council and of the City of Decatur that such consumptipn of alcoholic liquor as described be permitted for said limited time period. ', NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That on the day listed herein, and only on such day between the hours listed, only those alcoholic beverages listed below may be consumed i Central Park located in downtown Decatur, said day and hours being particularly described as ollows: Thursday, July 10, 2008 1:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Be r and Wine Only Section 2. That those portions of public rights-of-way at, i , or on which the above named alcoholic liquor may be consumed, on the day and during th hours listed in Section 1 hereof, are described as follows: Central Park; , North Park Street between North Franklin and North Water Str�ets; South Park Street between North Franklin and North Water Str ets; North Water Street between East Wood and East William Stree s; East Prairie Street between North Main Street and North Water Street;
