., <br /> �� <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 2008-09 <br /> ORDINANCE AMENDING CITY COD� <br /> -CHAPTER 69- <br /> - ELECTRICAL CODE- <br /> BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF D CATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That Chapter 69 of the City Code of the City o Decatur, Illinois, be, and <br /> the same is hereby, amended and modified at Section 2, Section 6 ( ) and (K), Section 9 (A), <br /> and Section 10 (A) and (B) inclusive, so that said Section 2, Sectio 6 (D) and (K), Section 9 <br /> (A), and Section 10 (A) and (B) inclusive, thereof as amended, shall pr vide as follows: <br /> 2. ELECTRICAL CODE. The same having been d ly placed and <br /> remained on file as required by law, and subject to he additions, <br /> modifications, changes or deletions set out in this Chapter the National <br /> Electrical Code, 2008 Edition of the National Fire Protection ssociation, the <br /> same being found and declared by the Council to be regulation as defined by <br /> applicable statute, is hereby adopted by reference and the sam to be known, <br /> and which may be cited, as "The Electrical Code" of the City, a d which shall <br /> have the scope and applicability as therein set out, except as odified by the � <br /> provisions of this Chapter. <br /> 6. PERMIT REQUIRED. <br /> D. Low voltage wiring for T.V., sound systems, larm systems, <br /> computer data and telephones. <br /> K. Permits are valid for a period of six (6) m nths for new <br /> construction and ninety (90) days for renovation; or with an approved <br /> extension. <br /> 9. SERVICE SPECIFICATIONS. , <br /> A. All newly installed electrical services shall be i ' conformance <br /> with the 2008 edition of the National Electrical Code and with e following: <br />
