The same ha g y p ' required by law, and subject to the additions, modifications, changes o deletions set out in this Chapter,the National Electrical Code,��r 2008 Edition of the Natio al Fire Protection Associ- ation,the same being found and declared by the Council to be regulati ns as defined by applica- ble statute, is hereby adopted by reference and the same to be known, d which may be cited, as "The Electrical Code" of the City, and which shall have the scope and pplicability as therein set out, except as modified by the provisions of this Chapter. 6. PERMIT REQUIRED. D. Low voltage wiring for T.V., sound systems, alarm syste , computer data and tele- phones. K. . Per- mits are valid for a eriod of six 6 months for new construction and 'net 90 da s for reno- vation• or with an approved extension. 9. SERVICE SPECIFICATIONS. A. All newly installed electrical services shall be in conform ce with the�8A-�2008 edition of the National Electrical Code and with the following: 5 Sizin of service entrance conductors shall be one of the fo lowin : a to main breaker with no reduction of ampere rating b. to a roved calculated load where multi le disconnects are used with no reduction of ampere ratin� c. to rated buss of e ui ment when no calculated load is ovided with no reduction of ampere ratin� �6) PVC risers u�utility poles shall be Schedule 80 7 Metal elbows and conduits at utilit oles and buildin s 'ce shall be connected to an effective oundin ath b the electrical contractor and installed er N.E.C. 250.80. 10. CODE APPLICATIONS- SPECIFIC. A. New buildings of all types: 1) T'he��2008 edition of the National Fire Protection As ociation will be the accepted code for all electrical wiring installations, provided that Arti le 210.52 (C)(2) and (3) shall be optional: No panels until buildings have a roof.
