C , Assistant City Manag�4fi <br /> Suzan Sti 1 , Senior Planner j5 <br /> SUBJECT: Annexation-980 North Moffet Lane <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval of the annexation petition. Staff <br /> is of the opinion that the proposed annexation would produce a logical extension of the corporate <br /> limits. <br /> BACKGROUND: A valid petition seeking voluntary annexation of the subject premises has been <br /> filed with the City Clerk's Office. The petitioner requests annexation to access City water. <br /> Containing approximately 2.955 acres, the property is currently developed with a single family <br /> residence. The property to the east is in the County; properties to the north, south and west are zoned <br /> R-1 Single Family Residence District. When annexed, the area will co e into the city as R-1 Single <br /> Family Residence District. The following information is relevant to the rea in question: <br /> 1. The parcel currently contains a single family residence. <br /> 2. City water is available to the site. <br /> 3. Sanitary sewer is not available. <br /> 4. The average fire response time from the Decatur Fire Department is six (6) minutes. <br /> 5. North Moffet Lane is seal treated and maintained by the City of I�ecatur. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: The annexation plat has been reviewed and approved by <br /> Municipal Services, Water Distribution, Engineering and Infrastructure, Fire, the Macon County <br /> Health Department and the Decatur Sanitary District. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTION: None <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Any additional questions may be forwarded to Suzan M. Stickle at 424-2786 <br /> or at smstickle(a�decaturnet.org. <br /> BUDGET/TIME IMPLICATIONS: Additional annual revenue of pproximately $464.05 would <br /> become available from the combined total real estate ($130.91) motor fu 1 ($139.44) and state income <br /> taxes ($193.70). <br />
