hereinafter provided, at a redemption price of par plus accrued int rest to the date fixed for <br /> redemption. <br /> Section 8. Redemption Procedure. The City shall, at le st 45 days prior to the <br /> redemption date (unless a shorter time period shall be satisfactory to he Note Registrar), notify <br /> the Note Registrar of such redemption date and of the principal amoun of Notes to be redeemed. <br /> For purposes of any redemption of less than all of the Notes, the part'cular Notes or portions of <br /> Notes to be redeemed shall be selected by lot not more than 60 days p ior to the redemption date <br /> by the Note Registrar by such method of lottery as the Note Reg'strar shall deem fair and <br /> appropriate; provided, that such lottery shall provide for the selection or redemption of Notes or <br /> portions thereof so that any $5,000 Note or $5,000 portion of a No e shall be as likely to be <br /> called for redemption as any other such $5,000 Note or $5,000 portion The Note Regist�ar shall <br /> promptly notify the City and the Paying Agent in writing of the N tes or portions of Notes <br /> selected for redemption and, in the case of any Note selected for partia redemption, the principal <br /> amount thereof to be redeemed. Unless waived by the registered owne of Notes to be redeemed, <br /> official notice of any such redemption shall be given by the Note Reg strar on behalf of the City <br /> by mailing the redemption notice by first class mail not less than 30 ays and not more than 60 <br /> days prior to the date fixed for redemption to each registered owner f the Note or Notes to be <br /> redeemed at the address shown on the Note Register or at such other address as is furnished in <br /> writing by such registered owner to the Note Registrar. All official otices of redemption shall <br /> include the name of the Notes and at least the information as follows: <br /> (a) the redemption date; <br /> (b) the redemption price; <br /> (c) if less than all of the outstanding Notes are to e redeemed, the principal <br /> amounts of the Notes to be redeemed; <br /> -8- <br />
