ARTICLE 24 <br /> F..�'�'TIRE AGREEMENT <br /> This Memorandum constitutes the complete and entire agree ent between the parties, <br /> and concludes collective bargaining between the parties for its erm. This Memorandum <br /> supersedes and cancels all prior written collective bargaining agreeme ts. <br /> The parties acknowledge that during the negotiations which resulted in this <br /> Memorandum, each had the unlimited right and opportunity to ma e demands and proposals <br /> with respect to any subject or matter not removed by law or ordinance from the area of collective <br /> bargaining, and that the understandings and agreements arrived a by the parties after the <br /> exercise of that right and opportunity are set forth in this Memorandu . Therefore, the City and <br /> the Union, for the duration of this Memorandum, each voluntarily an unqualifiedly waives that <br /> right, and each agrees that the other shall not be obligated, to bargain ollectively with respect to <br /> any subject or matter, whether or not referred to or covered in this Me orandum or with respect <br /> to the effects upon employees of the City's exercise of its rights und r the Memorandum, even <br /> though such subjects or matters or effects may not have been ithin the knowledge or <br /> contemplation of either or �oth of the parties at the time they egotiated or signed this <br /> Memorandum. <br /> ARTICLE 25 <br /> TERM OFAGREEMENT <br /> Section 1. This Agreement shall become effective. May 1 2006 and shall remain in <br /> full force and effect until April 30, 2009. It shall be automatically r newed from year to year <br /> thereafter unless either party notifies the other in writing of its desire t amend the agreement on <br /> or before February 1, 2009 or on or before February lst of any subs quent year. If either party <br /> submits such written notice the parties' designated representatives sh 11 commence negotiations <br /> not later than March 31, 2009 or March 31 of any subsequent ear. Notwithstanding the <br /> expiration date set forth above, this entire agreement shall remain in ll force and effect during <br /> the period of negotiations and until a successor agreement is ratified b both parties. <br /> 31 <br />
