Crowe, irector of Economic and Urban Development for the City of Decatur, requesting the vacation lpy the City Council of an alleyway in the City of Decatur, Illinois described as: A 20 foot strip lying between the South line of Block Nine (9) f South Addition to the City of Decatur as per plat recorded in Book G on page 53 of the records in the Recorder's Office of Macon County, Illinois and th North line of a Resurvey of a Part of Block One (1) of J.K. Warren's & Co's. outh Addition as per plat recorded in Book 536 on page 264 in said Recorder's O fice and bounded on the West by the East right of way line of Franklin Street and on the East by the Southerly extension of the East line af said Block Nine (9) o South Addition; and, WHEREAS, said alleyway is no longer useful to the public or t the City or to the owner of�the property abutting thereon as right-of-way; and, WHEREAS, the public interest will be subserved by vacati g said alleyway and the public will be relieved from the further burden and responsibility of ma ntaining the same. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINLD BY THE CITY C UNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That the above described alleyway be, and the sa e is hereby, vacated as public alleyway inasmuch as the same is no longer required for public se and the public interest will be subserved by such vacation, said right-of-way being shown n the plat thereof hereto attached and hereby made a part hereof.
