FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT DEPARTME T <br /> #2007 - 24 <br /> DATE: April 10, 2007 <br /> TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br /> FROM: Steve Gar City Manager � <br /> Ron Neufe d inance Director � <br /> SUBJECT: Supplemental Appropriations for Fiscal Year 2006- 007 <br /> Attached are thirteen supplemental appropriations for fiscal year 006-2007, for funding <br /> received or required after passage of the Appropriation Ordina ce, approved July 31, <br /> 2006. End of year supplemental appropriations are necessary to t e care of many issues <br /> that cannot be foreseen. <br /> • Non-Departmental — Fund 10 — This ordinance appr priates $265,000 for <br /> expenses related to the cleanup of the ice storm. These e penses will be eligible <br /> for reimbursement through a Public Assistance Grant fro IEMA. <br /> • Non-Departmental — Fund 10 - This ordinance appr priates an additional <br /> $168,900 for the cost of animal control as per agreemen approved by the City <br /> Council on 1/22/07. , <br /> • Plannin� Fund — Fund 12 - This ordinance appropriates 452,000 for expenses <br /> related to the purchase of properties in the 300 block o North Water. These <br /> expenditures were approved by the City Council on 12/4/06 and will be <br /> reimbursed by TIF funds. <br /> • Plannin� Fund—Fund 12 —This ordinance appropriates 190,000 for additional <br /> expenses related to the West Main Street project. The c ntract for engineering <br /> services, provided by Blank, Wesselink, Cook and Asso iates was approved by <br /> the City Council on 7/17/06 and will be reimbursed by TI funds. <br /> • DUI Court Fines—Fund 26—This ordinance appropriate an additional $10,000 <br /> for operating expenses in the DUI Court Fines Fund. oney for the increase <br /> will come from increased DUI fines collected by the City. <br /> • Police INS — Fund 33 — This ordinance appropriates $4,800 for operating <br /> expenses. When the FY07 budget was being prepared it was assumed that this <br /> fund would be closed out by the end of FY06. It was no and the funds carried <br /> over. This money will be spent by the end of this fiscal y ar. <br />
