Receipi �� b64 Recordiny F ee: i 31.00 <br /> ' Pages Recor•ded: 5 �� <br /> Date Recorded: 4/25/2007 8:56:27 AM <br /> I� �I I� �� II�� ��� I�� �� �� �� ��I��I �I�� �� �� <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 2007-26 <br /> ORDINANCE VACATING PORTION OF AL EY <br /> BETWEEN 200 BLOCKS OF WEST PYTHIAN AND WEST AMON AVENUES <br /> WHEREAS, a requesi has been received from Decatur Me orial Health Foundation, <br /> Inc., requesting the vacation by the City Council of a portion of an all y in the City of Decatur, <br /> Illinois legally described as: <br /> The alley right-of-way between the previously vacated North ri ht-of-way line of <br /> West Pythian Avenue and the South right-of-way line of West amon Avenue in <br /> Block 4 of Pythian Home Addition of Outlots as per plat reco ded in Book 300, <br /> Page 19 of the records in the Recorder's Office, Macon County, Illinois; and, <br /> WHEREAS, said portion of alley is no longer usefiil to the pub ic or to the City or to the <br /> owner of the property abutting thereon as right-of-way; and, � <br /> WHEREAS, the public interest will be subserved by vacating said portion of alley and <br /> the public will be relieved from the further burden and responsibility of aintaining the same. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY C UNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That the above described portion of alley be, and th saine is hereby, vacated <br /> as public alley inasinuch as the same is no longer required for public u e and the public interest <br /> will be subserved by such vacation, said portion of alley being shown n the plat thereof hereto <br /> attached and hereby made a part hereof. <br /> Section 2. That the benefits which will be accrued to the own of abutting property by III <br /> reason of the vacation aforesaid is determined to be, in the judgment of the Council, equal to the <br /> sum of Three Thousand Dollars ($3,000.00). <br />
