Receipi �� b64 Recordiny F ee: i 31.00 ' Pages Recor•ded: 5 �� Date Recorded: 4/25/2007 8:56:27 AM I� �I I� �� II�� I�� I��I �I�� ORDINANCE NO. 2007-26 ORDINANCE VACATING PORTION OF AL EY BETWEEN 200 BLOCKS OF WEST PYTHIAN AND WEST AMON AVENUES WHEREAS, a requesi has been received from Decatur Me orial Health Foundation, Inc., requesting the vacation by the City Council of a portion of an all y in the City of Decatur, Illinois legally described as: The alley right-of-way between the previously vacated North ri ht-of-way line of West Pythian Avenue and the South right-of-way line of West amon Avenue in Block 4 of Pythian Home Addition of Outlots as per plat reco ded in Book 300, Page 19 of the records in the Recorder's Office, Macon County, Illinois; and, WHEREAS, said portion of alley is no longer usefiil to the pub ic or to the City or to the owner of the property abutting thereon as right-of-way; and, � WHEREAS, the public interest will be subserved by vacating said portion of alley and the public will be relieved from the further burden and responsibility of aintaining the same. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY C UNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That the above described portion of alley be, and th saine is hereby, vacated as public alley inasinuch as the same is no longer required for public u e and the public interest will be subserved by such vacation, said portion of alley being shown n the plat thereof hereto attached and hereby made a part hereof. Section 2. That the benefits which will be accrued to the own of abutting property by III reason of the vacation aforesaid is determined to be, in the judgment of the Council, equal to the sum of Three Thousand Dollars ($3,000.00).
