Stewart, Transportation Planner.�, <br /> � <br /> SUBJECT: Vacate Public Right-of-Way of the 2600 Block of North nion Boulevard <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval of petition to vacate the public <br /> right-of-way as indicated on the plat. The City Plan Commission vote 6-0 to recommend approval <br /> of this petition at the Apri15, 2007 meeting; the minutes of the meeting re attached. <br /> BACKGROUND: The petitioner is requesting vacating public right- f-way in the 2600 Block of <br /> North Union Boulevard. The vacation will enable the petitioner to f rther develop their campus <br /> with a cancer center. <br /> St. John's Lutheran Church has been notified by the petitioner regard ng the vacation and has no <br /> objections. The petitioner owns all other adjacent properties. <br /> Letters were sent to AmerenIP, Insight Communications and AT&T no ifying the utility companies <br /> of the vacation request. An easement will be reserved for utility access. <br /> An appraisal was submitted by the petitioner with an estimated mar et value of $22,000.00. A <br /> second appraisal was obtained by the City with an estimated market value of $14,480.00.
