M ley, P.E., Director of Engineering Infra ructure <br /> Matthew C. ewell, P.E., City Engine�l. <br /> SUBJECT: Ordinance Authorizing the Installation of Stop Si ns at the Intersection of <br /> William Street and Church Street <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: <br /> Traffic and Parking Commission recommends the approval o the attached Ordinance <br /> authorizing the installation of an all-way stop at the intersection o West William Street and <br /> North Church Street. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> At the March 13, 2007, meeting of the Traffic and Parking Commissi n, the Commission <br /> approved a request from City Staff recommending the installation o an all-way stop to replace <br /> the existing 2-way stop at the intersection of West William Street and North Church Street. <br /> The stop signs have been requested as a result of an accident eview performed by City <br /> Engineering. The review indicated a high number of accidents pres nt at this intersection. An <br /> all-way stop should improve safety at the intersection significantly. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTION; No objections anticipated. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: Traffic and Parking Co <br /> I ission <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Richard G.
