CHAPTER 67 BUILDING CODE ADDITIONS AND 2. BUILDING CODE. The same having been dul placed and remained on filed as reguired by law, and subject to the additions, modifications, c anges or deletions set out in this Chapter, �99� 2006 International Building Code the same b ing found and declared by the Council to be regulations as defined by applicable statute, is hereb adopted by reference and the same to be known, and which may be cited, as the "The Buildi g Code" of the City, and which shall have the scope and applicability as therein set out, e cept as modified by the provisions of this Chapter. 3. SUBSTITUTIONS. (B) Whenever in said Building ode any of the other codes listed first in each of subsections (i) through (-�}— � hereof is me tioned, such code shall be deleted therefrom and the code listed immediately thereafter said sub ection shall be substituted in lieu thereof, as indicated, and said Code shall be taken and const ued as if such latter code were expressly so set out therein: ��) � �4�i-fl�e�-a�rc� �'^�'��'°O�; (ii) International Electric Code, to be eplaced by the National Electrical Code, 2005 Edition of the National Fire Protection Ass ciation; (iii) International Plumbing Code, to be replaced '�� r�*�r��*;�r�' D'„�'�:�rt �'��'� by th Plumbing Code 1998 of the State of Illinois Department of Public Health; (iv) International Private Sewage Disposal Code, to be replaced by the Illinois Private Sewage Code; (v) , �eae-�4��e�s��e�,�� and (vi) ICC A117.1 accessi ility code, to be replaced bti�the Illinois Accessibility Code. 4. BUILDING INSPECTIONS. Whenever in said Co e reference is made to the code official such shall be taken to mean and sha 1 be construed to refer to the Building Inspection �e�ise� Mana�er or is designee as fully as if said designation was set out therein in lieu of s ch words and whenever reference is therein made to the department of build ng inspections ar similar reference such shall be taken to mean and shall b construed to refer to the Building Inspections Division of the Econo ic and urban Development Department as fully as if said designation was et out there in lieu of such words.
