, H ok : 3804 Pages 903 <br /> Excerpts from Plan Commission Minutes of March l,2007 <br />� CaL No. 07-OS Petition of G & D INTE RATED to vacate a <br /> portion of the 2400 Block of ast Millikm Parkway <br /> Mrs. Stewart was sworn in by Mrs. Althoff. <br /> Mrs. Stewart presented the recommendation of staff: <br /> The petitioner is requesting vacating public right-of-way in th 2400 Block of East <br /> Millikin Parkway. The vacation will enable the petitioner to fence in its entire site. <br /> The petitioner does not currently own all of the property adjacent o the right-of-way but <br /> has notified the abutting property owner. They have no interest in he south 30 feet of the <br /> 60 foot right-of-way vacation. <br /> Letters were sent to Ameren IP, Insight Communications and AT T notifying the utility <br /> companies of the vacation request. An easement will be required r utilities. <br /> An appraisal was submitted by the petitioner with an estim ted market value of <br /> $3,500.00. A second appraisal was obtained by the City with an stimated market value <br /> of$2,800.00. The petitioner will pay the City of Decatur $3,500.0 for the vacated right- <br /> of-way. <br /> Staff is of the opinion that the best interests of the City of Deca r would be served by <br /> approving the request to vacate the street right-of-way. Staff re ommends approval of <br /> the petition. <br /> A motion to forward the request of Cal. No. 07-OS to the City Council with a <br /> recommendation for approval is suggested. <br /> Mr. Phil Cochran, representative for the petitioner, was sworn in b Mrs. Althoff. <br /> Mr. John asked whether the area to be vacated was immediately w st of the driveway. <br /> Mr. Cochran stated that G & D Integrated purchased over 20 a res of property. Mr. <br /> Cochran stated that the easement starts at the west end of the tu around. Mr. Cochran <br /> stated that there will be a fence around the entire site. <br /> There were no objectors present. <br /> It was moved and seconded (Nordholm/Mickler) to forward Cal dar No. 07-OS to the <br /> City Council with recommendation for approval as submitt d. Motion carried <br /> unanimously. '� <br />
