Y
ECONOMIC AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT MEM RANDUM
Memo No. 07-02
January 3, 2007
TO: Honorable Mayor Paul Osborne and City Council
FROM: Steve G , City Manager
Greg Cr Acting Director of EUjr
SUBJECT: Repeal Or inance No. 2005-102 to Vacate Utility Easem t
SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends repealing rdinance No. 2005-102 that
vacated the utility easement from 821 to 993 Cedar Hill Drive on N vember 21, 2005. Staff also
recommends approving the new ordinance vacating the utility easemen from 821 to 1011 Cedar Hill
Drive.
BACKGROUND: John and Dianne Sanner originally petitioned to vac te the utility easement on the
west ten (10) feet of 1011 Cedar Hill Drive. The petition by Dane C. ragg, Assistant City Manager
was to vacate the utility easement on the west ten (10) feet of the rem ining lots. The lot for 1011
Cedar Hill Drive was mistakenly left off of the approved ordinance. R pealing Ordinance No. 2005-
102 and approving the new ordinance will correctly vacate the utility eas ment for all of the lots.
INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: N/A
I POTENTIAL OBJECTION: A
N/
STAFF REFERENCE: Any additional questions may be forwarded to Greg Crowe at 424-2725 or at
ccrowe(a,decaturnet.org.
