Br g ,Assistant City Manager
Greg C. Cro , Economic Development Coordinat
SUBJECT: Sale of City Property adjacent to 11 North Country Club Road
SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends app oval of the sale of the
6258 square-foot parcel (.15 acre) located adjacent to 11 No h Country Club Road '
provided that a subdivision plat incorporating the tract with the s te is submitted prior to ,
closing. I
BACKGROUND: The owner of property located at 11 No h Country Club Road
wishes to subdivide the property into five (5) lots. Three of the 1 ts are proposed to have
access from Lake Crest Drive. The owner wishes to acquire a tria gular parcel of the city
owned lake front property along North Country Club Road so tha the remaining two lots
will have access along North Country Club Road. ,
The proposed parcel is small and as a stand alone lot does not conform to the required
minimum lot size of the Zoning Ordinance. Selling a portion ,of this parcel will not
restrict others who are entitled to access the lake from this ar¢a. This sale was not
advertised according to the City Council Policy as the property as no value but to the
City of Decatur or to the adjacent property owner.
INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: The Economic and Urban Development,
Engineering and Infrastructure, Fire and Water Departments have reviewed the proposal
and have no objections to the sale of the land.
POTENTIAL OBJECTION: N/A
STAFF REFERENCE: Any additional questions may be forw ded to Greg Crowe at
424-2725 or at ccrowe(adecaturnet.org.
BUDGET/TIME IMPLICATIONS: An appraisal for the re uested sale area was
submitted with an estimated market value of$1880.00.
