East Lawrence Street and South 21st Street 2. East Hendrix Street and South 21st Street 3. East Decatur Street and South 20t"Street i Ordinances Prohibiting Parking from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on: 1. East Side of the 500 and 600 block of South 21St treet 2. West Side of 500 block of South 20th Street 3. South Side of the 2000 block of East Lawrence S reet SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: Traffic and Parking Commission recommends the approval of the atta hed Ordinances authorizing the installation of stop signs at the subject intersections and prohibitin�parking on subject streets. The Commission's recommendation is based upon a request from the eighborhood surrounding Lyon's Park for traffic and parking control that will enhance the safet and security of the park. BACKGROUND: At the October 10, 2006, meeting of the Traffic and Parking Commis 'on, the Commission approved a request from Lyon's Park area residents recommending th installation of stop signs at the intersections o£ 1. East Lawrence Street and South 21 st Street 2. East Hendrix Street and South 21 st Street 3. East Decatur Street and South 20th Street Prohibit parking from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on: 1. East side of the 500 and 600 block of South 21St Street 2. West side of the 500 block of South 20th Street 3. South side of the 2000 block of East Lawrence Street Residents were generally concerned with the safety and security of L on's Park and the surrounding streets. Minutes from the meeting are attached.
