NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY C UNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That the rights-of-way and portion of street describ d on Exhibit "A" be, and the same are hereby, vacated as public rights-of-way and portion of st eet inasmuch as the same are no longer required for public use and the public interest will be su served by such vacation, said rights-of-way and portion of street being shown on the plat th reof hereto attached and hereby made a part hereof. Section 2. That the benefits which will be accrued to the owne s of abutting property by reason of the vacation aforesaid is determined to be, in the judgment o the Council, equal to the sum of Six Thousand Nine Hundred Forty-Eight Dollars ($6,948.00).
