Miller, AICP, Senior Planner jF�1 <br /> Greg Crowe, Economic Development Coardinat���v <br /> SUBJECT: Rezone 1035 South Main Street to PD Planned Development <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval of the petition to rezone the <br /> subject property to PD Planned Development. The City Plan Commission voted 7-0 to recommend <br />' approval of this petition at the September 18, 2006 hearing; the minutes of the meeting are attached. <br /> BACKGROUND: The petitioner is requesting rezoning the subject property from R-6 Multiple <br /> Dwelling District and M-1 Light Industrial District to PD Planned Development to allow for the <br /> construction of an 80 unit retirement housing facility. The facility will be four (4) stories and 50 feet <br /> tall, the plan includes 36 one(1)bedroom units and 44 two (2)bedroom units. <br /> One freestanding monument sign is proposed for the development and will be built in accordance with <br /> the submitted sign drawings. • <br /> I INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: None <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTION: There were no objectors to the petition at the Plan Commission <br /> meeting. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Any additional questions may be forwarded to Greg Crowe at 424-2725 or at <br /> gc crowe(�a,decaturnet.or�. <br /> BUDGET/TIME IMPLICATIONS: None <br />, I <br />
