ORDINANCE NO. 2006-85 <br /> ORDINANCE AMENDING CITY CODE <br /> - CHAPTER 75 —WATER SERVICES AND CONNECTIONS - <br /> BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, <br /> ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That Section 5 of Chapter 75 of the City Code of the City of Decatur, ' <br /> Illinois, be, and the same is hereby, modified and amended, so that said Section 5, as so ', <br /> modified and amended, shall provide as follows: ' <br /> 5. WATER SERVICE PIPE. Water service pipe from the corporation II <br /> stop to the building other than for services larger than two inches in diameter shall be <br /> cold drawn, soft annealed, seamless copper suitable for underground service with proper � <br /> bending temper with quality and properties equal to A.S.T.M. Class K specifications. For <br /> services of two inches in diameter or less, from the outlet side of the curb stop to the <br /> meter only, polyethylene pipe with copper tracing wire may also be used that meets all <br /> specifications for, and is installed per the Illinois Plumbing Code and AWWA standards <br /> for polyethylene pipe. For services larger than two inches in diameter materials as are <br /> approved in the City of Decatur specifications for water main installations may be used <br /> with the approval of the Director of the Water Department. Between water main tap and <br /> curb stop there shall be a continuous unspliced run of pipe. <br />
