Miller, AICP, Senior Planner�� <br /> Vasudha Pinnamaraju, GIS Planner � �jtu.��� ' <br /> SUBJECT: Annexation of territory located at 1508 West Allison Drive <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: Staff is of the opinion that the proposed annexation would produce <br /> a logical extension of the corporate limits; staff recommends approval of the petition as presented. <br /> BACKGROUND: A valid petition seeking annexation of the subject premises has been filed with the <br /> city clerk's office. Containing approximately 0.463 acres, the property is a single family residence. <br /> Property to the south is located in the city and is zoned R-1 Single Family Residence District. Properties <br /> to the north,east and west are all located in the county; when annexed the area will come into the city as <br /> R-1 Single Family Residence District. The following information is relevant to the area in question: <br /> 1. There is a single family residence on the subject property. <br /> 2. City water is available along West Allison Drive. <br /> 3. Sanitary sewer is not available. <br /> 4. The average fire response time from the Decatur Fire Department is six(6)minutes. <br /> 5. West Allison Drive is asphalt treated and is maintained by the City of Decatur. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTIONS: None. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: The annexation plat has been reviewed and approved by Municipal <br /> Services, Streets, Engineering and Infrastructure, Legal, Fire, and the Macon County Health Department. <br /> STAFF REFERENCES: If Council members have questions they may contact Vasudha Pinnamaraju at <br /> 424-2781,vgpinnam@decaturnet.org. <br /> BUDGET/TIME IMPLICATIONS: Additional annual revenue of approximately $336.15 would become <br /> available from the combined total real estate ($230.58), motar fuel ($105.57) and state income taxes <br /> ($153.94) from the property. <br />
