• .. <br /> r� • <br /> . ` ,� <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 2006-067 <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS <br /> SETTING OCTOBER 2, 2006 AS THE PUBLIC HEARING <br /> DATE FOR A PROPOSED EASTGATE COMMONS <br /> REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT AREA, AND RELATED <br /> MATTERS <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council (the "Corporate Authorities") of the City of <br /> Decatur, Illinois (the "Municipality") intends to undertake preliminary proceedings related to a <br /> proposed redevelopment project area (the "Eastgate Commons Redevelopment Project Area" <br /> (i.e., the area generally described as: <br /> The Redevelopment Project Area, in Decatur, Illinois, begins at the southeast corner of Mount <br /> Zion Road and US Route 36. It proceeds southeast along the south side US 36 to the south side <br /> of the frontage road intersection at east side of parcel 09-13-28-101-005. It then turns south and <br /> runs along the parcel line turning west on a line with the back the lumber yard and shopping <br /> center. It then follows this line west running along the parcel lines 09-13-28-101-404, 09-13-28- <br /> 101-003 (lumber yard) 09-13-28-101-007 (shopping center) and runs to the east of Mount Zion <br /> Road. It runs north along this road to the beginning <br /> , all in the City of Decatur, in Macon County, Illinois (legal description attached) in the <br /> Municipality under the Tax Increment Allocation Redevelopment Act (65 ILCS 5/11-74.4-1 et <br /> seq.). <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br /> THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS, as follows: <br /> 1. The Corporate Authorities hereby set October 2, 2006 as the date for the <br /> public hearing under the Tax Increment Allocation Redevelopment Act for the proposed � <br /> Redevelopment Project Area, at 5:30 p.m., in the City Council's meeting room at the City Hall, <br /> 1 Gary K. Anderson Plaza, in Decatur, Illinois, and August 24, at 11:00 a.m. in the City <br /> Council's meeting room at the City Hall, 1 Gary K. Anderson Plaza, in Decatur, Illinois, for the <br /> joint review board meeting. <br /> 2. The appropriate officers, employees and representatives of the <br /> Municipality are hereby authorized to take such further and supplemental actions, including <br /> required notices preliminary to and in connection with the public hearing and the required joint <br /> review board meeting for the proposed Eastgate Commons Redevelopment Project Area. <br /> 3. This ordinance shall be effective immediately after its passage and <br /> approval. <br />
