<br /> ORDINANCE AMENDING CITY CODE
<br /> - CHAPTER 7 - OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES GENERALLY -
<br /> BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR,
<br /> ILLINOIS:
<br /> Section 1. That Section 2 of Chapter 7 of the City Code of the City of Decatur, Illinois,
<br /> be, and the same is hereby, modified and amended, so that said Section 2, as so modified and
<br /> amended, shall provide as follows:
<br /> 2. APPOINTMENT AND REMOVAL. The City Manager shall have the
<br /> power and authority to appoint and remove at will the Deputy City Manager,
<br /> Assistant City Managers, Assistant to the City Manager, all directors of
<br /> departments, all deputy and assistant department directors, fire marshals, battalion
<br /> chiefs, police personnel above the rank of sergeant, division managers,
<br /> administrative secretaries, members of the Legal Department, Director of the
<br /> Abraham Lincoln Heritage Project, Personnel Specialists, Training Officer,
<br /> Human Relations Specialists, Systems Administrator, Senior Systems Analyst,
<br /> Systems Analyst, Auditor, Risk Management Assistant, Water Customer Service
<br /> Supervisor, Street and Sewer Maintenance Supervisor, Assistant City Engineer,
<br /> Civil Engineer I, Civil Engineer II, Fleet Supervisor, Water Production
<br /> Maintenance Supervisor, Engineering Technician Supervisor, CAD System
<br /> Coordinator, Maintenance Supervisor, Traffic and Parking Supervisor, City
<br /> Forester, Foreman, Economic Development Coordinator, Building Inspections
<br /> Manager, Senior Planner, Planners, Planning Manager, Neighborhood and
<br /> Housing Planner, Senior Crime Analyst, Crime Analyst, Emergency
<br /> Communications Manager, Emergency Communications Supervisors,
<br /> Neighborhood Redevelopment Manager, Neighborhood Inspections
<br /> Administrator, Neighborhood Program Specialist, Enterprise Zone Administrator,
