Mi 1 r, AICP, Seniar Planner��^'� � ��, <br /> Vasudha Pinnamaraju,Planner •��;�11��� � ���,, <br /> � I <br /> SUBJECT: Annexation of territory located at 447 West Hillshire Road ' <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: Staff is of the opinion that the proposed annexation would produce � <br /> a logical extension of the corporate limits; staff recommends approval of the petition as presented. <br /> BACKGROLTND: A valid petition seeking annexation of the subject premises has been filed with the � <br /> city clerk's office. Containing approximately 0.835 acres, the property is a single family residence. I <br /> Property to the east is located in the city and is zoned R-1 Single Family Residence District. Properties to <br /> the south north and west are all located in the county; when annexed the area will come into the city as <br /> R-1 Single Family Residence District. The following information is relevant to the area in question: <br /> 1. There is a residence on the subject property. <br /> 2. City water is available along Hillshire Road. <br /> 3. Sanitary sewer is not available. <br /> 4. The average fire response time from the Decatur Fire Department is eight(8)minutes. <br /> 5. Hillshire Road is seal treated and is currently maintained by the City of Decatur. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTIONS: None. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: The annexation plat has been reviewed and approved by Municipal <br /> Services, Streets, Engineering and Infrastructure, Legal,Fire, and the Macon County Health Department. <br /> STAFF REFERENCES: If Council members have questions they may contact Vasudha Pinnamaraju at <br /> 424-27 81,vgpinnam@decaturnet.org. <br /> BUDGET/TIME IMPLICATIONS: Additional annual revenue of approximately $976.13 would become <br /> available from the combined total real estate ($716.62) motor fuel ($105.57) and state income taxes � <br /> ($153.94)from the property. <br />
