Stewart, Transportation Planner� SUBJECT: Annexation of territory located at 1909 South Taylorville Road SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: Staff is of the opinion that the proposed annexation would produce �! a logical extension of the corporate limits; staff recommends approval of the petirion as presented. � BACKGROLJND: A valid petition seeking annexation of the subject premises has been filed with the City Clerk's Office. Containing approximately 0.560 acres, the property is a business. Annexation is requested for connection to city water. The property to the north, south and west are located in the county; property to the east is located in the city and zoned M-1 Intense Commercial — Light Industrial District; when annexed the area will come into the city as R-1 Single Family Residence Dish-ict. The following information is relevant to the area in question: 1. There is a business on the parcel. 2. City water is available along South Taylorville Road. 3. Sanitary sewer is within 200 feet of the area. 4. The average fire response time from the Decatur Fire Department is six(6)minutes. 5. South Taylorville Road is an asphalted road maintained by the state. POTENTIAL OBJECTIONS: None. INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: The annexation plat has been reviewed and approved by Municipal Services, Water Distribution, Engineering and Infrastructure, Fire, the Macon County Health Department and the Decatur Sanitary District.
