Miller, AICP, Senior Planner�yv� <br /> Vasudha Pinnamaraju, Planner �•Vp,��„o�t,.s�' <br /> SUBJECT: Annexation of territory located at 808 Haynes Drive <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: Staff is of the opinion that the proposed annexation would produce <br /> a logical extension of the corpora�e limits; staff recommends approval of the petition as presented. <br /> BACKGROiJND: The Engine�ring Department has requested the annexation of this property since all <br /> the city utilities are being provided to the property and it is contiguous to the corporate limits. Containing <br /> approximately 0.46 acres, the property is a single family residence. Properties to the south, north, west <br /> and east are all located in the City and zoned R-1 Single Family Residence District; when annexed the <br /> area will come into the city as R-1 Single Family Residence District. The following information is <br /> relevant to the area in question: <br /> l. There is a residence and an accessory structure on the subject property. <br /> 2. All the City utilities are available in the area and are currently being provided to the , <br /> subj ect property. <br /> 3. The average fire response time from the Decatur Fire Department is ten minutes. I <br /> 4. Haynes Drive is asphalt paved and is currently maintained by the City of Decatur. �, <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTIONS: None. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: The annexation plat has been reviewed and approved by Municipal <br /> Services, Water Distribution, Engineering and Infrastructure, Fire, the Macon County Health Department <br /> and the Decatur Sanitary District. <br /> STAFF REFERENCES: If Council members have questions they may contact Vasudha Pinnamaraju at <br /> 424-2781,vgpinnam@decaturnet.org. <br /> BUDGET/TIME IMPLICATIONS: Additional annual revenue of approximately $490.76 would become <br /> available from the combined total real estate ($265.60) motor fuel ($91.45) and state income taxes <br /> ($134.31) from the property. <br />
