, _
EXCERPTS OF THE
MINUTES OF THE MEETING
OF THE
TRAFFIC AND PARKING COMMISSION
Tuesday, April 11, 2006, 4:00 P.M.
Item #3 Request for an all-way stop to replace existing yield signs at the
intersection of Calhoun Street and Clay Street
Harris stated this intersection has an accident rate that is considered above normal. He
said if you are coming southbound you are coming up a hill but it looked to be a fairly
open intersection. Newell stated the balance of the traffic is the same in both directions
and yield signs have been in place since 1992 but haven't stopped the number of
accidents.
A motion was made and seconded (Stewart/ Hassinger) to follow staff recommendation
and replace existing yield signs with an all-way stop at the intersection of Calhoun Street
and Clay Street. Motion carried unanimously.
