Newell, .E., City Engineer� <br /> SUBJECT: Ordinance Authorizing the Installation of Stop Signs at the Intersection of <br /> Church Street and Damon Avenue <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: <br /> Staff recommends the approval of the attached Ordinance authorizing the installation of stop <br /> signs at the intersection of Church Street and Damon Avenue. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> At the February 14, 2006, meeting of the Traffic and Parking Commission, the Commission <br /> approved a request from City Staff recommending the installation of stop signs at the intersection <br /> of Church Street and Damon Avenue. <br /> The stop signs have been requested as a result of an accident review performed by City <br /> Engineering and a letter from a concerned citizen. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTION; No objections anticipated. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: Traffic and Parking Commission <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Stephen Swanson,Director or Engineering and <br /> Infrastructure, at 424-2747 <br /> Matt Newell, City Engineer, at 424-2747 <br /> The Director of Engineering and Infrastructure, Stephen Swanson, and the City Engineer,Matt <br /> Newell,will be in attendance at the City Council meeting to answer any questions of the Council <br /> on this item. <br />
