1 � <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 2006-14 ' <br /> ORDINANCE AMENDING CITY CODE I <br /> - CHAPTER 47— ' <br /> - CONTROL OF ANIMALS, FOWL AND DOGS— <br /> BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, <br /> ILLINOIS: <br /> Section l. That Sections 1, 20 and 21 of Chapter 47 of the City Code of the City <br /> of Decatur, Illinois, be, and the same are hereby modified and amended by adding <br /> language to Section 1, subsection(�, adding subsection (1), adding language to Section <br /> 20, subsections A and B, and Section 21, subsection B reflecting the amendment, and so <br /> that Sections 1, 20 and 21 as so modified and amended, shall provide as follows: <br /> 1(�. Registration Certificate — ... and upon payment of the registration <br /> fee herein imposed, unless exempt from payment of the registration fee. <br /> 1(1). Public Safety Agency — a functional division of a public agency . <br /> which provides firefighting, police, medical, or other emergency services. <br /> 20A. ... The registration fee for any dog or cat registered more than 30 <br /> days after the date of inoculation against rabies shall be double the original fee. <br /> Exempt from the registration fee are trained public safety agency owned dogs <br /> maintained by public safety officers for use in official public safety duties <br /> fulltime, with proof of such certified by the public safety agency's Chief or other <br /> agency head. <br />
