The affected routes are: #52 West <br /> Main - Wyckles Rd.; #53 Enterprise - Taylor Rd.; #62 Oakland; and the Millikin Area Trolley <br /> Route. The three hearings will be held in the Transit Administration Building, 555 E. Wood <br /> St., Decatur, on: v <br /> • Wednesday, November 5th, from 3:00 to 7:00 pm, and <br /> • Thursday, November 6th, from 3:00 to 7:00 pm, and <br /> • Friday, November 7th, from 1:00 to 5:00 pm. <br /> Everyone is invited to stop in during those times to voice their opinions about the <br /> proposed changes. All comments will be considered before a decision is made by the <br /> Decatur City Council. A full description of the proposed changes will be available at the <br /> public hearings. This information is available on-line at www.decaturil.qov. <br /> Paul McChancy, Mass Transit Administrator for the City of Decatur, states, "We started this <br /> just to improve service on one route that goes to the new Decatur Township office and the <br /> work expanded to include changes in four routes covering the southwest quadrant of the <br /> City." Route changes include increasing service to the Enterprise School area to one bus . <br /> per hour; merging the #52 West Main route and the Millikin Area Trolley route to provide <br /> hourly service to the Decatur Conference Center and Hotel; and splitting the #62 Oakland <br /> route into two routes. <br /> ABOUT THE DECATUR PUBLIC TRANSIT SYSTEM (DPTS : <br /> DPTS is a division of the City of Decatur, IL, providing public transportation with fixed-route <br /> buses and door-to-door paratransit service for people with disabilities. Hours of operation <br /> are 5:30 AM to 7:15 PM on Monday through Friday, and 6:15 AM to 7:15 PM on Saturdays. <br /> There is no service on Sundays and on designated major holidays. <br /> - END - <br /> America's Aaribusiness Center <br />
