Perry, Purchasing Supervisor� <br /> SUBJECT: Bids for pick up truck <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends awarding contract to Bob Ridings, <br /> Inc. to furnish one (1) 2009 F250 Ford heavy duty 3/4 ton pick up truck. <br /> BACKGROUND: This truck will be assigned to the Traffic Control division. The truck is 'i <br /> scheduled for replacement this fiscal year and will replace a 2001 Dodge 4x4 pickup truck with � <br /> 106,012 miles that is currently in service. A total cost analysis was performed on the bids <br /> received, and Bob Ridings, Inc. was the most responsive and responsible bidder. The old vehicle <br /> will be sold at auction. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTION: None <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: Traffic Control requested the vehicle. Fleet <br /> Maintenance wrote the specifications. Both recommend approval of the bid. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Richard Marley, Director of Engineering & Infrastructure, 424-2747. <br /> Richard Borders, MSC Manager, 875-4820. Richard Marley will be at the council meeting to <br /> answer questions the council may have about this purchase. <br /> BUDGET: $27,895 from the Equipment Replacement fund. <br />
