LEASE <br /> THIS AGREEMENT made as of the 19th day of September, 2008, between the <br /> Decatur Public Building Commission, Macon County, Illinois, a municipal corporation <br /> (Commission), as Lessor, and the City of Decatur, Macon County, Illinois, a municipality <br /> and a home rule unit under the provisions of the Illinois Constitution of 1970 (City), as <br /> Lessee. � <br /> In consideration of the rents reserved hereunder, and the promises and the IIII <br /> covenants herein made by each of the parties hereto, and for other good and valuable <br /> consideration, it is convenanted and agreed by the parties hereto as follows: <br /> SECTION I. Lease Terms and Rentals <br /> In consideration of the rents reserved and the covenants, agreements and other <br /> terms and conditions herein provided to be kept, observed and performed by the City, the <br /> Commission does hereby lease to the City those portions of the Law Enfarcement Center <br /> located on Block 7 of South Addition to Decatur, as per plat recorded in Book G, page <br /> 553 of the records in the Recorder's Office of Macon County, Illinois, street address 333 <br /> South Franklin Street, Decatur, Illinois, allocated to the City's use as specified on Exhibit <br /> A attached hereto. <br /> B. The term of this Lease shall begin on December 1, 2008 and end on November <br /> 30, 2009. The rent shall be Two Hundred Sixty-seven Thousand Three Hundred Ninety- <br /> six Dollars ($267,396.00). The Commission shall pay from the City of Decatur's Law <br /> Enforcement Surplus Account Forty-One Thousand, Three Hundred Seventy-five Dollars <br /> eighty-six cents ($41,375.86), and the City shall pay the balance of the rent, Two <br /> Hundred Twenty-six Thousand, Twenty Dollars fourteen cents ($226,020.14), on or <br /> before December 1, 2008. <br />
