. RESOLUTION NO. R2008-157 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AGREEMENTS WITH TRAVELERS PUBLIC SECTOR FOR ADMINISTERING CITY'S PROPERTY/LIABILITY PROGRAM,AND WITH HELMSMAN MANAGEMENT SERVICES FOR ADMINISTERING CITY'S WORKER COMPENSATION PROGRAM, AND WITH GALLAGHER BASSETT SERVICES, INC., FOR ADMINISTERING THE RUN-OFF CLAIMS WHEREAS, the City of Decatur has a current contract expiring September 30, 2008, and is in need of the professional claims administration, loss prevention consulting, and loss reporting of a third party administrator for the City's property/casualty/worker compensation self-insurance program for the period October 1, 2008, through September 30, 2011; and WHEREAS, the third party administrator, Travelers Public Sector., is prepared to provide these services for the City of Decatur property/liability program; and WHEREAS, the third party administrator, Helmsman Management Services, is prepared to provide these services for the City of Decatur worker compensation program; and WHEREAS, the third party administrator, Gallagher Bassett Services, Inc., is prepared to provide services for the City of Decatur runoff claims. BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That the proposal of Travelers Public Sector, for the provision of claims administration, loss prevention and loss reporting services for the property/liability program to the City of Decatur be, and the same is hereby, accepted and approved. Section 2. That the proposal of Helmsman Management Services, for the provision of claims administration, loss prevention and loss reporting services for the worker compensation program to the City of Decatur be, and the same is hereby, accepted and approved. Section 3. That the proposal of Gallagher Bassett Services, Inc., for the provision of handling City runoff claims be, and the same is hereby , accepted and approved. Section 4. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to negotiate, for and on behalf of the City, agreements with Travelers Public Sector, Helmsman Management Services, and Gallagher Bassett Services, Inc., for the above mentioned services in accordance with the proposals for same submitted by said companies.
