R2008-40 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING UPGRADING OF ACTIVE WARNING DEVICES WITH <br /> NORFOLK SOUTHERN RAILWAY COMPANY AND <br /> ILLINOIS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION <br /> -RAILROAD TRACK CROSSING AT SUNNYSIDE ROAD (FAU7422)- <br /> WHEREAS, this resolution authorizes the City of Decatur to enter into an Agreement with Norfolk <br /> Southern Railway Company and Illinois Department of Transportation for the Upgrading of Active <br /> Warning Devices for the Railroad Track Crossing at Sunnyside Road (FAU7422). <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That the Upgrading of Active Warning Devices Agreement relating to the Railroad <br /> Track Crossing at Sunnyside Road (FAU 7422) presented to the City Council herewith between the City of <br /> Decatur and Norfolk Southern Railway Company and Illinois Department of Transportation for the <br /> installation of crossing gates and the incidental work necessary to complete the installation of crossing <br /> gates of the Norfolk Southern Track Crossing at Sunnyside Road (FAU7422) be, and it is hereby, received, <br /> placed on file and approved. <br /> Section 2. That as part of the Agreement, Illinois Department of Transportation requires that the <br /> City agrees to provide at its expense any necessary advance warning signs and pavement markings as <br /> required by the MANUAL ON LJNIFORM TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES. When a marked traffic <br /> detour is required, the City at its expense shall furnish, erect, maintain, and remove the traffic control <br /> devices necessary to detour highway traffic. <br /> Section 3.
