Perry, Purchasing Supervisor�� <br /> SUBJECT: Bids for sodium chlorite tank <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends awarding contract to Repair Service <br /> Corp. to furnish and install one (1) sodium chlorite tank. <br /> BACKGROUND: This tank will be used as a replacement tank at the South Water Treatment <br /> Plant. The original tank had a crack in the bottom which was not able to be repaired. This tanl< <br /> is used in the production of chlorine dioxide which is required by IEPA. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTION: None <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: Water Management requested the tank and recommends <br /> approval of bid. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: John Smith, Assistant City Manager, 424-2833. Keith Alexander, <br /> Director of Water Management, 424-2863. John will be at the City Council meeting to answer <br /> questions the council may have about this purchase. <br /> BUDGET: $48,516 from the Water Fund. <br />
