� <br /> COUNCIL COMMUNICATION FORM <br /> PURCHASING & 1NTERNAL SERVICES MEMORANDUM <br /> #07-74 <br /> December 18, 2007 <br /> TO: Honorable Mayor Osborne and City Council <br /> FROM: Steve G City Manager <br /> Ron Neuf inancial Management Director � <br /> Deborah M. erry, Purchasing Supervisord� <br /> SUBJECT: Bids for air compressor, fill station, and cylinders <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends awarding contract to SCBAS, Inc. <br /> to furnish one (1) T215G Eagle air compressor, and one (1) SSX3P Eagle fill station and three <br /> (3) DOT 6000 PSI cylinders. <br /> BACKGROUND: This equipment will be used by the Fire Department to fill and maintain the <br /> self contained breathing apparatus bottles they use. It will replace a 21 year old compressor <br /> currently in use. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTION: None <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: Fire Department requested the compressor & fill station <br /> and recommends approval of bid. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Matt Sekosky, Fire Chief, 424-281 L Jeff Abbott, Deputy Fire Chief, <br /> 424-2811. Matt will be at the City Council meeting to answer questions the council may have <br /> about this purchase. <br /> BUDGET: $36,343.75 from the General Fund. <br />
