♦ � <br /> FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT <br /> #2008 —O1 <br /> DATE: January 2, 2008 <br /> TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br /> FROM: Steve G City Manager � <br /> Ron Neuf , inance Director �� <br /> ;� <br /> SUBJECT: Conversion of Finance Department Office <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: <br /> It is recommended by staff that the City Council approve the attached resolution, which <br /> authorized the payment of funds to the Decatur Civic Center, for the purpose of converting the <br /> sale tax unit office #207, into two private offices, in an amount not to exceed $9,073. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> The Payroll Administrator has been moved to the Finance Department and is currently sharing an <br /> office with the City Auditor. Both deal with confidential matters and need individual offices. <br /> The Finance Director has met with Mike Pritchett, Assistant Manager of the Decatur Civic <br /> Center for the purpose of discussing the conversion of the one large sales tax unit office into two <br /> offices. One would be occupied by the Payroll Administrator and the other by the City Auditor. <br /> The estimate to convert the offices is $9,073, which is the lowest of three bids. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTION: There are no known objections to this resolution. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: Mike Pritchett, Civic Center Assistant Manager <br /> STAFF REFERENCES: Ron Neufeld, Finance Director (424-2702) <br /> BUDGET/TIME IMPLICATIONS: <br /> No money has been appropriated in the current year's budget. However, every effort would be <br /> made to cover it out of General Fund —Non Departmental budget. If that is not possible then a <br /> supplemental appropriation would need to be approved a year end. <br />
