� , . <br /> ATTACHMENT A <br /> FOR <br /> TASK ORDER NO. 11 <br /> FOR <br /> CONTINUING AGREEMENT FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES <br /> Owner: City of Decatur, Illinois <br /> Engineer: Black&Veatch Corporation <br /> Project: Chlorine Feed System Improvements <br /> Date: October 15, 2007 <br /> DESCRIPTION OF SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> The Project is being conducted in phases. Phase 1 of the Project was a feasibility study to <br /> evaluate various alternatives to improve the safety of the existing chlorine storage and <br /> feed system. Phase 2 included Design, Construction Contract Documents, Bid and <br /> Preconstruction Services. Phase 3A included Additional Prebid Services and Phase 3B <br /> included Construction Phase Services. Phase 2A will include Additional Design <br /> Services. Work under Phase 2A will be authorized on execution of this Task Order No. <br /> 11. The scope of services for Phase 2A is presented below. <br /> PHASE 2.A ADDITIONAL DESIGN SERVICES <br /> Engineer shall perform the following additional services to update the existing <br /> construction documents prior to advertisement for construction bids: <br /> 1.Revise existing construction documents to include the following design revisions: <br /> • convert the vacuum driven system design to a liquid chlorine feed system <br /> requiring new evaporators and changes in the number and configuration of on-line <br /> containers and scales; <br /> • upsize the proposed chlorine scrubber from one ton to two ton capacity; <br /> • re-route the scrubber duct from overhead to buried beneath the existing driveway; <br /> • add emergency shutoff(Halogen or equal)valves. <br /> 2.Update the current Opinion of Probable Construction Cost. <br /> 3.Revise and finalize construction documents for bid advertisement. <br /> PHASE 4. SUPPLEMENTAL SERVICES <br /> A• Any work requested by Owner that is not included in one of the items listed in any <br /> other phase will be classified as supplemental services. <br /> A-1 <br /> City of Decatur Task Order No. 11 <br /> Rev.09-25-07 <br />
