', <br /> BACKGROUND: These vehicles will be assigned to the Municipal Services Manager and the I <br /> Streets and Sewer Supervisor. One of the vehicles will replace a 2001 Ford Escape XLT that was <br /> totaled in a November 2006 crash. The second vehicle is scheduled to replace a 1995 Ford <br /> Taurus GL currently assigned to the Engineering Division. However, since the Streets and <br /> Sewer Supervisor has primary responsibility to respond during snow and ice storms and other <br /> emergency incidents, he needs to have a vehicle capable of operating in harsh winter weather <br /> conditions. The automobile currently assigned to the Streets and Sewer Supervisor is a 2005 <br /> Chevrolet Impala, and it will be re-assigned to the Engineering Division to replace the Ford <br /> Taurus. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTION: None <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: Engineering and Street Division requested the vehicles. <br /> Fleet Maintenance wrote the bid specifications. All recommend approval of bid. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Richard Marley, Director of Engineering & Infrastructure — 424-2747. <br /> Dick Borders, MSC Manager - 875-4820. Richard will be at the meeting to answer any <br /> questions the City Council may have about this purchase. <br /> BUDGET: $45,644.60 from the Equipment Replacement Fund. <br />
