The
project was advertised June 19, 2007, and bids were opened on July 9, 2007. The results
for the letting are as follows:
Compared to
Engineer's Est.
Bidder Bid Price Over (-Under)
Engineer's Estimate $149,976.00 -----
WAS CON Co. $158,616.00 5.76%
Entler Excavating Co., Inc. $190,450.00 26.99%
Otto Baum Co., Inc. $208,461.24 39.00%
Christy-Foltz, Inc. $283,279.00 88.88%
The proposed sidewalk contract for this fiscal year incorporates three sidewalk initiatives
identified for the General Street Capital Fund: Sidewalk Improvements, Sidewalk Ramp
Program, and Sidewalk Extension Program. Since these projects are similar in nature, in the
interest of obtaining the best possible bids, staff has combined these projects under one
contract.
The low bid for this proposed project was supplied by WAS CON Co.
