ECONOMIC AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT MEMORANDUM <br /> No. 07-63 <br /> Apri124, 2007 <br /> TO: Mayor Paul Osborne and City Council Members <br /> FROM: Steve G City Manager � / <br /> Greg Crow , irector of Economic and Urban Developmer���/ <br /> Vickie Buckingham,Assistant Dir. of Economic and Urban Development�� <br />� SUBJECT: FY 07-08 Annual Action Plan for CDBG and HOME Funds <br /> RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends adoption of the FY 07-08 Annual Action <br /> Plan for CDBG and HOME funds. The U. S. Department of Housing and Urban <br /> Development reviewed and approved the City's Annual Action Plan for FY 07-08. <br /> BACKGROUND: In accordance with the guidelines set forth by the U. S. Department <br /> of Housing and Urban Development(HUD),Neighborhood Redevelopment Division <br /> develops an Annual Action Plan. The Annual Action Plan describes funding allocations <br /> for the upcoming year along with strategic implementation of the priorities identified in <br /> the City's Five Year Consolidated Plan, FY 2005-2009. �'he City Council reviewed and <br /> approved the FY 2005-2009 Consolidated Plan in June of 2005. The City Council <br /> reviewed and approved the CDBG and HOME funds during the adoption of the City's <br /> budget in April. <br /> The FY 07-08 Annual Action Plan has been available for public review in three locations: <br /> Decatur Public Library, Decatur Housing Authority Administrative Office, and the � <br /> Economic and Urban Development Office. The draft plan was also available for <br /> viewing on the City's web site during the review and comment period.
