Alexander, Director of Water Management � <br /> SUBJECT: Macon County Soil & Water Conservation District Agreement <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: <br /> Council adopt the attached Resolution authorizing an Agreement for watershed protection <br /> services with the Macon County Soil & Water Conservation District (MCSWCD) for <br /> $173,889.96. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> From the mid 1980's to 1998 Council annually approved an agreement for watershed protection <br /> services with the MCSWCD. In 1999 Council elected to continue the agreement without a <br /> written document. Recently, both City staff and the MCSWCD Board agreed that a written <br /> document would be in the best interests of both parties. The attached agreement describes the <br /> services that the MCSWCD will provide to the City at same cost as last fiscal year's services. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTION: <br /> None. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: <br /> Macon County Soil & Water Conservation District <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: <br /> Keith D.
