P y, Purchasing Supervisor� P <br /> SUBJECT: Bids for '/2 ton extended cab pickup truck <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends awarding a contract to Jackson Ford <br /> to furnish one (1) 2007 Ford F 150 '/z ton extended cab pickup truck. <br /> BACKGROUND: This pickup truck will be used by the Water Distribution Division. It will ' <br /> replace a 1996 GMC Sonoma pickup truck cunently in use. ', <br /> A review of the bids indicates both dealers made an error in computing the resale value. The I'' <br /> correct resale value should be $5,975 for both dealers. Based on this correction, Jackson Ford of I <br /> Decatur is still the low bidder. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTION: None <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: Water Distribution requested the truck. Fleet <br /> Maintenance wrote the bid specification. Both recommend approval of bid. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Rick Marley, Director of Engineering and Infrastructure, 424-2747. <br /> Dick Borders, MSC Manager, 875-4820. Rick will be at the meeting to answer any questions <br /> City Council may have about this purchase. <br /> BUDGET: $17,687.95 from the Equipment Replacement Fund. <br />
